Posters asking other posters for dollar amounts of donations is incredible. While anyone who can should donate, we are all taxpayers, and our tax dollars should be financing efficient, life-saving relief efforts when necessary. Government must be held accountable especially for thier grossly delayed response that cost Americans their llves. If government can not efficiently handle critical, life-saving tasks, one has to wonder about government efficiency in general. Katrina have proven the Bush administration's lack of leadership ability.
Another issue of efficiency will be the rebuilding effort. Bush pledged today that the city would be rebuilt. If Iraq is an example of our ability to rebuild, the gulf coast is another "quagmire" in the making.
