Kadin, if one does a little research they will see that this must be treated as a special dividend. Look up the rules. If the total distribution is 25% or more of the total stock it is treated a special dividend. If it is a special dividend the X-date is the day after the pay date.
obviously there is more going on here than i realized. i can assure you what i posted is accurate because i was just in a stock that did a special divi. the shares i held and were settled on the record date did not qualify for it. only those settled on the payment date did. if they are changing dates or something like that, i have no experience in something like that.
