If any identifiable group or country ever hit the US with a nuke, that group or country would cease to exist within 20 minutes of the incident.

The North Korean leadership are just whiny little dogs attempting to use extortion and fear to get cash, food and supplies because whatever was left over from what they stole has all gone to arms and they're out of options.

Part of Clinton's legacy, is that these clowns (around the world) still expect the appeasement and payoffs to continue.

Thank God those days are over, now that DubYa, et al, are on the scene.

What is in it for them (the Korean)? If that question cannot be answered rationally, pondering such an action is ridiculous. Japan's strategic goal was to take the western world out of its "sphere" of influence and then establish a status quo, they were hoping that Hitler would be stronger and dominate Europe and thus not allow us to mount a sizeable counter offensive. They were wrong, but at least, they had a "valid" strategic goal, though with a very low probability of achieving it.
