You only need bid support if you have sellers.

By the way, the analogy to which you refer did not equate L2 to a drill test, but instead to the recent rise to .009 on very low volume.

No one can see L3 except MMs and brokerages, so stating that there are orders above the asks listed on L2 (or below the listed bids) that do not show up on L2 is only a guess.

Now, if you have an L3 screen shot or other some empirical data as to MDGC trading since the then existing orders were cleared out up to .009 to suggest differently, I am all ears.

Otherwise, such a position is pure fiction.
