They proposed a unifying theory called "M-theory", in which the "M" is not specifically defined, but is generally understood to stand for "membrane". The words "matrix", "mother", "monster", "mystery", "magic" have also been claimed. M-theory brought all of the string theories together. Mathematics is a form of controlled seeing. There are others. I love reading both the string theory and Carlos. They are the same thing in my eyes.

A fundamental tenet is Thought precedes Form. I "believe" that physicists are visionaries. It is equally possible that they think it and it forms. They are the "edge" of our understanding. I ask, are the strings there and we are only now seeing them or are they there because we formed them from our thoughts? Life builds upon its own understanding. As we understand more we see more. Science is a wonderful expression of that.
