this was a genentech deal… It is in the GRED early development group, which is said to have little to no Roche influence.

You will undoubtedly agree that most of the smartest deals made by Roche/DNA were made by DNA per se. However, the smartest decision of all—taking a controlling stake in DNA in the 1990s—is one where credit goes entirely to Roche :- )
