Worm, Thanks... I was wondering about the refineries... Have you seen anything on damage to offshore rigs like this? I have a feeling the "oil" shoe hasn't totally dropped yet.. I see local fuel went up about $.15/gal today....

That pipeline goes right through my front yard. In fact they have two, one oil, one gasoline. No way for me to tell if anything is going through them or not. They don't make any noise. I wonder how much of that 95 million gallons goes through my front yard. That would be 2.25 million barrels a day or over 10% of the crude oil used in the US. Looking at their map, it's hard to tell if any gets taken out before it gets to me, but it wouldn't be much.
And then I have two other pipelines owned by Plantation Pipeline. Looking around their site, it looks like they only transport about 20 million gallons or about .5 million barrels a day. So it looks a little over 10% of the oil used in the US goes through my front yard. Wow! I think I should get a cut. Or at least a discount at the gas station or something. Not only do I not get anything, I've got be on the look out to defend my bushes when they come through every year to hack on them because they think they've gotten to big. :-(
