Bax, what you have posted is probably correct.
However, it is also where the value comes in. Your broker, via a MM has sold you something which niether of them had to sell in the fist place. Shares being called in would be about the best thing that could happen. At that point, the mm's via the brokers have to rectify this situation. Thus the run up in price. They must at that point by from the open market in an attempt to cover. So while in one sense you may have been screwed, (as you put it) look at the bright side, you just may be in for a big kiss to go with it.
