I bet we get more buyers, but the question is whether or not they can absorb the conversions enough to move the PPS up. Right now everyone is having too much fun bid sitting at support levels and getting filled. Why pay more if you can pay less? I like to tighten the spread and buy on the ask for half my position and bid sit for the other. I like to try and help keep the spread tight and support my investment. Paying a tick or two more is no big deal to me, but I obviously can control it so I'll bid sit too.
As Ham said, I think MP knew the conversions were coming. That's why the had the promo, PR's, and some company buying. It softens the blow. It was their cheaper option. Better than just letting it tank harder. No T trade after hours yesterday, but doesn't mean it didn't just go through during the day. I bet we'll see the last of VERT before the Q. I wouldn't be surprised if it was all worked out to be finished before the Q. These things are usually planned.
