Thanks, it was this or a similar article that I read last summer about Apple & GaAs. In that article I clicked on the one leading to Digitimes: http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20110713PD212.html?mod=3&q=APPLE
And this part got my attention "VPEC and AWSC will also see their shipments of wafers to be used in GaAs high-concentration PV (HCPV) modules continue to increase in the second half of the year, the sources added."

Look at the decline on the chart since July and compare it with OPL http://www.google.com/finance?q=CVE%3AOPL
Although VPEC' portfolio is more divers, they are predominantly a wafer producer, and they were expecting an increase in 'GaAs high-concentration PV (HCPV) modules', but the general market condition dictated otherwise, hence the decline in VPEC & OPL' stock price.
