While a vote might not do much to sway my opinion (especially since I already know what the outcome would be), it still might be a good idea. As a Survey on *this* board so it'll get participation not only from EDIG folks, but from everyone on the site.
You and I both "know" the no-admin version will become a mini-agoracom and will cause new problems. Have to carefully consider the cost (to our reputation) of letting that happen even as an experiment and to prove us right.
I'm conviceable but far from convinced right now to do it even as an experiment. In other words, I'm very much against it, but possibly could be swayed by the right arguments.
