Well, for all the delays, hardware does a better job than software. Remember Visual Studio 2004? Never shipped. VS2005
was supposed to ship in Spring 2005. I think that the current
schedule is December now. Hopefully they won't have to change
the name of the product again.

wbmw, I agree that with AMD moving to

- the new 65nm process
- in a new fab
- for the first time on 300mm wafers,

65nm should only account for a very small part of AMD´s total shipments in 2006.

AMD's stated schedule for Fab 36 is:

90nm 300mm production starts in Q106
65nm 300mm production shipments in H106
65nm ramps from mid-2006 to 100% at mid-2007

This is as of the June analyst day.
