While you're sleeping, consider this - you just made a bet with someone that your board would be more "active". In my mind, that means it's what you want most. That's fine, really, but you can't have it both ways.
It sounds to me like you just want people to be civil - no matter what they say. It's really more complicated than that. If someone is repeatedly posting fabrications and otherwise disrupting a board where people are trying to engage in serious discussion, that detracts from quality, IMO.
And, fwiw, I used BA - but we have about 6 people or so that do what he does to one extreme or another - and not just on RB, but here as well. One of them - austonia - you put in jail yesterday.
