Never said the correction was based on the gaps. But, it's true that a lot of traders will bail at strategic overbought conditions in anticipation of buying back in the gap. I've done that a lot myself. In my experience, it's usually only the breakaway gaps that go unfilled. Eventually the rest of them usually do.
