I_Invest, a patent issue would bump the stock some but in the long term, it wont make any difference.

Here is a brief summary of his patent on detection and treatment of cancer.

First filed in May 2001. After multiple rejections and a final appeal last June, it is once again up for examination. According to the USPT, examinations take 12 months to 3 years with the current backlog.

Lets say a miracle occurs and it is approved tomorrow. Moro would need to license the technology. Lets say he gets that done in a year. The licensing company would have to develop the technology into something that is marketable. Remember, Moro is injecting an antibody formulation. We know nothing about the stablilty of that formulation and the instablilty of the formulation that Constab Pharma uses is the reason why they cannot get any licensees.

Lets say they found some stable formulation within another year, did clinical trials for another 2 years, compliled the clinical trials into an NDA for another year, apllied to the FDA, another 1.5 years.

All total with the current age of the application is 17.5 years elasped. Now the pharma would have 2.5 years to get their money back and make profits before the patent expired. That's about the minimum time it would take from this point and the big question remains, could a stable formulation be obtained?
