That is the same as making money. you are growing an asset the business and as it grows it is worth more if this is being done without borrowing funds or shares then yes we are making money.
You actually understand you just don't want too. You would not be here investing if you were as anti business as you sound.
Think of it this way. If Danny was not able to write off bought assets this year then he would have had to pay taxes on that at a rate of 35% or higher plus local and state and sales and performance tax and so on all that money would have not been available to grow the business take 40 plus cents out of every dollar he brings in and tell me what his largest cost would be at that point. Now tell me how that would effect you as an investor/part owner of this company and your need for this company to do well because you have been laid off by a company that was probably paying 40% of its money not to employes like you that were hard working and probably deserved it but to the government sitting there telling people that its business fault then putting their hand out saying you must pay the government ahead of employees.
When they say they want people who make a million to pay their fair share their talking about income taxes and getting rid of the asset deductions. When they use warren buffet as an example of someone who wants to pay his fair share that's misleading because he pays no income tax he does not work a job he pays Capital gains tax on investment just like you will when BRAV goes up in value. But they choose their word carefully so as to not say total taxes.
Im Sorry to tell you this but the government lies. Its never the government, they are just trying to protect you from the big companies that provide the jobs. Then they chase those big companies out of business or over seas in the name of EPA, or paying their fair share. As long as they convince you its you and the government against all the companies then they stay in power trying to protect you from the same things you need, company's that provide jobs.
Pire Your a smart man if you where not you would not be trying to provide money through investing to support yourself. I think you make a mistake of believing every thing you here from certain groups. Do your self a favor and start looking for the truth. Fact check every thing you hear then decide if they are telling you the truth. Don't be played as a sheep.
