H2 2006. But besides being able to keep up from AMD in frequency, I expect Conroe to beat K8DC in IPC. By a lot.

No they're not. 2.4GHz max, still two bins away from 2.8GHz. Maybe they'll reach this high by next year, when Intel launches Conroe.
