From my "reading" of the CC, MRK and MRK's competitors in the bidding for EC145 all wanted EC20 to be part of the deal, but ECYT remained adamant about retaining all rights to the test. (I don't have any empirical evidence to support my "reading" other than the "tone" of the presentation.) So I figure the test must be worth something, but I have absolutely no idea what that would be. (I'm kind of surprised that after some of the silly questions that we got from analysts after the presentation--"silly" in the sense that the questioners knew in advance that management was never going to answer the questions--not one analyst asked what the value of EC20 might be to ECYT.
