I say it is totally unbelievable, not if you know that China and Russia are backing up Iran. Iran is not in the least concerned with a military strike, they know that the West isn't willing to take on Russia and China. Most people don't know that. Most people still think that the US can act unilaterally and it would burst their bubble if the acutal facts were presented.
By the way, I do think both sides are willing to settle the Iranian issue this time - they both know the consequences which I just discussed in the first paragraph, and it's better to settle w/dignity than to blow each other up.
