I would have to respectfully disagree with you. I worked as a director for one of the world's largest and most respected luxury companies for almost ten years and did so in the sales and marketing department. However, I knew all of the guys/gals that were in leadership positions in all of the operations and support departments. I left over a year ago and to this day I call those people when I need a favor for my new business. They are always happy to help me out. Our new CEO has more than twice the tenure that I had so you mean to tell me that he doesnt know anyone in leadership from Pepsi's "core" business? I think he does. To relate this better, I knew all of the leaders in our IT department as well. I relied on them on a regular basis to help me in my sales/marketing role as did every other department within the organization...you don't think those IT guys have great relationships with other leaders in the organization? Of course they do! I would be willing to bet (and I have because I own a ton of HFBG) that all our new ceo would need to do is pick up the phone or send an email and his old buddies at Pepsi would be happy to stear him in the right direction. Does this mean that I think Pepsi will have something to do with HFBG? probably not, but it does mean that he will have access to a ton of distributors and other industry professionals to assist him greatly in his new role. If you disagree then so be it but I am willing to place my bets on this new ceo and his Pepsi connections...not to mention his son who is still in management at Pepsi....
