That's interesting. ASYI was trading around $30M cap when that was written, and the dilution rate has been almost nominal all along.
The o/s went from 146M to 162M from 11/2010 to 11/2011.
Poking around the last 10Q, I noticed this:
"Between June 30, 2011 and September 30, 2011, the company collected $520,656.50 of proceeds in a private placement transaction. The Company will issue 1,386,313 shares as a result of these subscriptions. "
Apparently, as recent as last summer, ASYI sold shares at approx .375 p/sh.
Granted, the o/s has probably increased since the 11/2011 figure of 162M, but it couldn't have gone past the 300M a/s. So, worst case scenario, ASYI current marketcap may be $3M. Paltry for a fully reporting company with an attractive merger looming. It's no wonder some people are trying to dig up dirt to get cheaper shares.
