anyone who wants that outcome had better be hoping the sanctions, the whole range of diplomatic efforts, do work to cause Iran to do what it must do to avoid being attacked

I am not so sure China and India "will not come on board" - the U.S. is their best customer; their goods keep WAL-MART in business.
