Garden Rose -- thanks; parallels some of the stuff I was just looking at (am really tied up with a big project here at home, will be for another week anyway, lack the time right now to do any of my nap-inducing book-length multi-source posts) -- I am torn about this, don't like it any more than you do; in good part, am looking at this in a realpolitik way, things being what they are, whether entirely or at all fair or not (e.g., Israel and its capabilities being in fact a separate issue, business long since done, fair or not) -- and from that perspective, just frustrated as hell that even as Iran continues proclaiming 'oh it's for peaceful commercial power stuff only' it has thus far refused to grant the complete access by which they could prove they're being truthful about that (their record to this point having been less than spotless, they have behaved in a number of ways to give rise to legitimate concerns) -- I strongly hope for and want a diplomatic, negotiated resolution of this situation -- but for that to prove possible, in the situation as it exists (as far as I can make out anyway), they have to help, they must affirmatively show us everything across the full range of their activities, including the full range of their research and development activities away from the enrichment sites per se -- I don't see any way around that; if they don't do what they can do to help resolve this, and do so now, their shit is gonna get blown up, fair or not
