Brutal Home Invasion captured on a Security Camera
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 21, 2012 -- Police released surveillance footage of the suspects wanted for robbing a 42-year-old business owner and his wife of about $30,000 in cash and jewelry during a home invasion robbery in Oxford Circle (a suburb of Philadelphia) Sunday evening. About 7 p.m., the business owner parked his car behind his home on McKinley Street near Castor Avenue and heard someone yell "Don't move or I'll shoot you," police said.
The man looked up and saw a group of men, one of whom was pointing a handgun at him, police said.
Surveillance footage shows the group surrounding the man and his wife shortly after the couple arrived at their home.
The thugs forced the man and his wife inside of their home, pistol-whipped the man and demanded money.
The man's wife gave the suspects money and jewelry and they fled along Large Street. Police said the two victims were left distraught and devastated after the trauma of this brutal crime.
The gang is described as six to seven Black men who were all wearing blue or black hoodies and were holding rags over their faces.
