lol, I was thinking the same thing. Except for this last month, employment numbers have been revised downward after the final tally. Guess we will see. I personally see a major correction at some point this year. Something is gonna pop them ballons!

That's actually not the case. You don't know what the data is.

The non farm payrolls is not how many new jobs were created last month. It is how many more people are employed last month compared to the prior month. In other words, did overall payrolls go up or down. So when payrolls go up 250K, that means net employment went up.

First time claims is how many new people applied for unemployment insurance, so how many were laid off.

So overall, if non farm payrolls increased by 250K over the prior month and 1.4 million new claims for UE were filed, it means 1.65 million people were hired last month.

Again, non farm payrolls is a net change in payrolls over the prior month, not how many new jobs were created or how many total people were hired.
