President Obama is no more responsible for high oil and gas prices than Bush was

That's true so it just shows how uninformed the American public is on this subject. Sad isn't it?

Saying no to Keystone makes it look bad for him

Only to people who don't care about the environment. It never fails to amaze me how the repubs have convinced their 'base' how caring about safe air, water and food is a liberal plot to destroy the country. And regulations that would ensure the safety of the people is somehow against 'the free market'.

So how would you feel if you found out that some big corporation was dumping toxic chemicals and pollutants two miles from your house because the regulations for preventing them from doing that were rolled back?

Would his base abandon him if he agrees to a conventional fuel project?

It depends on what that project was. Why you guys are so hot for this pipeline that would do nothing to lower our gas prices and has the potential for destroying our water system if something went wrong, is mind boggling to me. You DO realize that gas prices won't go down one penny with the pipeline, don't you?

SilverSurfer -- here's the graph included with that poll article ( http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-57395703-503544/poll-obamas-approval-rating-sinks-to-new-low/ , which I had open):

take recent/ongoing wingbutt media/Gas&Oil Party agitprop, add the wingbutt base, toss on a heaping topping of braying drunken asses spraying bullshit in all directions free marketeers, and voila! -- yet another poll result reflecting the vehement incoherence of idiocy aroused
