No problem at all but look at a T & S and you will see that people are already flipping this stock in spite of its low volume/float. They might cause some short-term anxiety but in the long run, they are good for the PPS. As Bob S. stated, they increase liquidity and the added volume puts the stock on radars that might not have been aware of the stock, provides an occasion for some to look deeper and maybe become longs.
A long time ago, I used to be annoyed by shorts and daytraders but now I accept them as a fact of market and fully realize that they never upset my plans, I worry more about an institution dumping on me than daytraders.
