The PershMerga, The Mahdi Army and Badr Militia can ONLY trust and police itself.
It is absurd propaganda that has been giving press releases that the almost terrorism free Sadr City is because of the success of the Iraqi Police and U.S.Troops, the fact is the peace is being kept by the Mahdi Army and Muqtada Sadr and the Mahdi Army want nothing to do with a National Iraqi police/army nor the presence of U.S. troops--they simply will not trust them, period--and for good reason.

NAJAF, Iraq (Reuters) - The head of an Iranian- trained Shi'ite militia associated with one of the main parties in the Iraqi government said on Thursday that Shi'ites should have their own federal state in the south of Iraq.
"Federalism has to be in all of Iraq. They are trying to prevent the Shi'ites from enjoying their own federalism," Hadi al-Amiri, head of the Badr Brigades, told thousands of Shi'ites gathered in the sacred southern city of Najaf.
"We have to persist in forming one region in the south or else we will regret it. What have we got from the central government except death?" >>
