They did discuss IL-28b status, but I don't recall if it was in the context of an interferon-free trial or not.

One doc did say he thought a 12-week interferon-free trial was on the short side for theoretical reasons - some viral decay model he cited predicts you need 12-14 weeks absent any contribution from the host.

They did also make the point that the GILD/VRUS drug doesn't cause mutations, and so you lose nothing by trying it first and then re-treating with an interferon combo for those people that fail.
