diarch: Even basic economics teaches it isn't total existing inventory that controls price; it is limited availability of supply for purchase that causes prices to rise.
However, common sense should suggest that applying the laws of supply and demand to market pricing of public common shares might be missing the point of investing!
If NeoMedia were to announce a $100 million dollar deal tomorrow, 4 billion outstanding shares would not stand in the way of a sweet return.
