Actually, I believe the "fix" was in from the beginning - witness how Romney was awarded 43 delegates in Repub-controlled VA. The GOP determined it's Willard's turn and with his $$$ and business background, he'd be a sure bet against Pres Obama...what the GOP didn't count on is the economy rebounding, Willard's MA mandated-healthcare law being an issue, and Willard's inability to connect with people not in a country club.
With all that said, Nov will be a very close race - lots of people out there simply hate Obama although they hesitate to say why...but my guess is we all know why.

oh .. I don't believe in any "fix" either ....imo, what you say was obvious ! ........He's the least nutty, least objectionable, most electable Republican candidate.

he's absolutely the ONLY one you 'could' have in your living room ... My goodness .. .the others have been SCREAMS!!! .. all though as desperate as they are ... and personally I don't think they are too bright .. they would have let .. who what where ..libya? .. ka? ka? ..geekistan? ... ??? run ... and he was very popular with them ... they loved him .. I have no idea why he quit as I know none of us were ever going to vote for him ever ...and they all said "he didn't do it" .. . so, just another republican primary mystery .. to take into the future .. ;)

I do have some sympathy for Ann Romney .... she has MS and this has just got to be hard on her .. .
