Can someone who knows more about the IRA than I know put the hysteria in Britain in context. When I was in London years ago the IRA was actively bombing the subway system and I dont recall any hysteria to shred peoples civil rights. People and government just accepted it as a fact of life. How many people were typically injured in an IRA bombing?
