Are there any other drugs out there that do what INF does or what we hope Bavi does? Are there any other combos out there in trials not tied to Rib/INF SOC?
If not, why would a drug company not want to explore the bavi potential in a longer trial in combo with one, some, or all of the current drugs being studied for HCV.
heck if I was a big drug company with a depleting pipeline, I might consider a deal for bavi and then test it with all the current drugs in trials with the SOC along with those whose patients are relapsing even if I wasn't a HCV player. If bavi worked in keeping the patients from relapsing, I might get a big part of the HCV market.
Heck, for a small fee to PPHM and some development cost and a fairly short trial period I might find a jewel.
