Dragon, you may prove to have been wise to exit when you did...I've been doubting whether holding on was such a wise move on my part.
From what I can gather, most common guesses from the conservative and practical posters is that we will emerge at .50-$1 per newco share with a chance to be worth 5x that in 2 1/2 years. If that is the case then upon emergence from bk, my investment will be worth about half of what I originally invested (since I purchased before the price dropped through the floor), so $10K invested becomes $5K with a chance to become $25K in 30 months.
Original investment (from 2008-2011)- $10K
Worth upon bk emergence - $5K
Common estimate among educated posters of longterm potential- $25K
Return after 2 1/2 years (5-6 years in total) 250%
250% return after 6 years invested...not bad for sitting money, but surely could have done better with a more active investment and certainly not worth 1000 hours reading and following posts.
Holding out hope that this is not the upward limit here...
