US supported PKK Shifts Militants to Iran, violent conflicts

The war with Iran has started.

I knew we are training the PUK in the struggle against Iran but Iran is blaming the PKK.

I was puzzled why the U.S. refused to take significant steps against the PKK and if their was an alliance between the PKK and PUK.

Apparently yes, both the PKK and PUK are being supported by the United States.

If the Kurds subdue Iran they have been promised an independent Kurdistan. This is becoming obvious.

The terrorist organization that announced that it had suspended its armed actions in Turkey has turned towards Iran. It is reported that violent conflicts have been occurring between Iranian soldiers and the terrorist organization's militants during recent days and that dozens of soldiers and militants have died.

The terrorist organization the PKK, which announced that it had suspended attacks towards Turkey for one month, shifts its armed terrorist activities to the Iranian border. The PKK that started attacks on Iran after the US occupation of Iraq has been conducting armed attacks in this country under the name of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) for the past two years. Following the clear attitude of Mahmud Ahmadinajad, the elected Iranian President in June towards the PKK, conflicts at the border of the country have been increasing. Several Iranian soldiers and terrorists have died in the conflicts that took place during the past week. In response to the increasing conflicts, the Iranian government has concentrated soldiers along the west border.

The fact that the US settled in Iraq caused the Iranian government to break with the terrorist organization the PKK with which it had had good relations since 1987. The PKK, which has caused problems between Iran and Turkey for years, has claimed to have started conducting attacks on Iran with US support. These relations were pointed out at the congress held by the terrorist organization in June, in which the evaluation that "As much as the US increases the conflict process against Iran, Kurds will have a much more important position and place in this fight. The US cannot win its struggle against Iran without gaining the support of the Kurds," was also made. It is reported that the PKK will increase its attacks on Iran, the enemy country, instead of on Turkey, the ally country, in order to gain US support. Nearly five thousand terrorists camped in the Kandil Mountain region have been harassing Iran's west borders for some time. During the conflicts, dozens of deaths have so far been reported by the Iranian army and the PKK. It is reported that eight Iranian soldiers died in these attacks. Upon these developments, Iran has started to concentrate soldiers to the western border of the country. The Iranian army used war planes to bomb the Kandil Mountain in June, killing many terrorists. Haji Ahmadi, leader of the PJAK, a branch of the PKK, in a statement made to the Mesopotamia News Agency (MNA), the press organ of his organization, said that the US operation in Iraq plays an important role in the conflicts in Iran. Ahmadi who defended that they fight for Kurdish rights in Iran claimed that the PJAK is organized and armed throughout the whole of Iran. Haji Ahmadi also claimed that Iran and Turkey are conducting joint operations towards them.

According to the PKK, five million people of Kurdish origin live in Iran. Against the terrorist organization, which acts based on the claim that the Kurdish people could not obtain democratic rights in Iran and which tries to acquire a base for itself, Iran draws on Turkey's experiences. In the past months, there have been some controversies about establishing a system of "village police" in Iran. Between Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan and authorities from Iran, talks concerning cooperation in the fight against terrorism took place during Erdogan’s official visit to this country last year. During this visit, Iran announced that it considers the PKK to be a terrorist organization and that it will take every step necessary for cooperation.
