Generators generate...or as I see it...gather electrons...and these electrons are focused/forced into a usable stream or current.

The "right hand rule" applies to generators. Our generators are at one end (the starting end or beginning) of an enclosed system/circuit. As the current is used/spent...as in the case of the lights in my home or this computer I now use...it is turned into a different states or forms of energy (and work is done...it's energy is used)....Heat and light and just two of them.

Electrons in a sense are a form of pure energy...but, they can change state (electromagnetic spectrum states), be absorbed, reflected...captured and so on.

So if, some electrons are used...then, others will be needed...new ones...to keep the system's volts at the desired level.
