The latest generation of HCV DAA’s are preferentially taken up in the liver but not exclusively taken up in the liver. Thus, absent evidence to the contrary, I’m skeptical of the notion that a consequential reservoir of virions hiding out in another organ is impervious to the drug(s) in question.
