WM's goal is to put up to $5,000,000 in about a dozen start up companies each year. You make a good point that they did not invest in JBII.. They visited Thorold many moons ago.

Who Are The Ten Top Greenwashing Companies in America
6. Waste Management, Inc.
http://greeneconomypost.com/top-green-washing-companie-1396.htm#ixzz1n3v7qdxr

"...since 2005, Waste Management has spent more than $90 million on TV commercials and print advertisements emphasizing the number of trees it saves through recycling, the amount of land it has set aside for wildlife habitats, and how much energy it generates through incineration"

"...To anyone who has ever ridden behind a WM garbage truck while observing large clouds of CO2 belching from its exhaust , seen their giant clear cut landfills, or smelled the air near one of their power conversion facilities, it's probably no surprise to learn that the company felt it needed an environmental friendly public relations lift. In 2006 the company began its 90 million dollar public green washing campaign to correct its image. It started out with a series of commercials that touted the company as one of the nation's largest sources of recycling with images of forests and apparently clean air.....Again what they don't tell you, in this hidden tradeoff, is that instead of spending the $90 million in their greenwashing campaign they spent enough just to convert 500 of their 21,000 vehicle fleet which equivalates to less than 3% of their entire fleet. (2009, The Green Hypocrisy)...."

WM CEO was just on Mad Money a lot of mention on recycling and Nat gas trucks but no mention of their supposed great investment in Agigoo. He's probably too embarrassed to to admit he's invested in his Solyndra.

Lol
