Buddhists not to be out done by other Religious Fanatics?
JAKARTA, Indonesia, Jan. 30 -- Thai military transport planes flew hundreds of Thai citizens home from neighboring Cambodia today after they were targeted during a night of rioting there. The Thai ambassador to Cambodia was recalled, border crossings sealed and economic aid to Cambodia suspended, reports from Bangkok said.

The violence was provoked by newspaper reports that a Thai actress had said that Thailand owns Cambodia's paramount national treasure, the ancient Hindu-Buddhist temple Angkor Wat. Few comments could have so deeply offended the Cambodians as an assertion that the 12th century temple -- so esteemed that it adorns the Cambodian flag -- isn't theirs.
