Gout, HAE, HCV. Is there some common element that ties these indications or something with their technology that enables them to pursue such different indications?

I believe they were essentially founded with a focus on purine nucleoside phosphorylase (PNP) inhibitors (http://www.biocryst.com/our_science ). That is the basis for the gout and HCV drugs, though I am not certain on the HAE drug. I think they showed PoC in the clinic in Phase 2b with the gout drug. Obviously the HCV nuke and the HAE drug aren't in the clinic yet.
