YOu are taking Kim's statement out of context in a highly misleading manner.
When he said that "pure spider silk is not the goal", he was referring to gen 3 which is a step beyond pure spider silk. In context it is clear that what he meant was not that it was not the ultimate goal.
There's also a question of verbal shorthand here. I'm sure that it's very evident to everyone but you here that when we talk about "pure spider silk" what is actually meant is "Monster Silk with the WSP gene taken out so that there is no WSP in it" (Which is why I usually type " 'pure' (no WSP) spider silk' " or similar. So I neglected to type it ONE time out of many dozens. Get over it! EVeryone but you knows what I meant.
And, in the context, that's probably the point Kim was making as well: that at no point, intermediate or end point, was the goal an exact replica of native spider silk.
Many of your "points" appear to depend on such 'misunderstandings'.
