Sorry to but in, yesterday I learned that AAA, Geico Progressive and some other carriers advertise on their website a teen driving initiative. All are asking parents to do a contract with their kids regarding safe driving sample contracts are on the sites. Of course no texting and driving is highlighted in that initiatives, the companies saying they have resources for parents to help keep kids safe, just ask us.
No teen might not like it but when you are asking Mom to get your permit, you are at their mercy, Sign the Contract or you don't get a permit. The incentive for parents using the contract Reduced Premiums.
