I agree- I had it on my iPhone long before I used it on the iPad, the first time I opened it up on the iPad- I was like " whoa- now we're talkin!"
Honestly I could care less about the occasional crashes- every (almost) app crashes once in a while. Doesn't bother me, it's not hard to get back to right where you were when it crashes.
Seems to me like it's triggered by a certain transition from this to that to that, and bang it goes down, but if I use the "back button" or just hit "favorites" before I go to the same place it doesn't crash.
Almost like the app saying - "you can't get there from here"
