Naval vessels located in international waters are legally different. All cases brought by Spain to claim rights for treasure found on coasts of Florida were won by the salvage companies that found them.

Mel Fisher spent a lot of time in court because of the deep water international water treasure he sought.

It's not guessing, it's the law and history.

basserdan, I don't think anyone can pull the wool over your eyes. So I have a question to ask you and I know you will answer it honestly.

What type of permit did the State of Florida issue for the permitted area that SFRX is sub-contracted in ?
Is it only for Survey work ? In which case the permit holder will have to apply for a salvage permit if anything is found. Which also could mean that the State of Florida doesn't have to issue a salvage permit and can deny the issuance of a salvage permit.
