b2l, it´s important to keep the now fairly rapid shift from K7 to
K8 in mind. While VIA was dominating the K7 space, they still haven´t produced a VIAble K8 chipset and should thus simply drop pretty much out of the tables this quarter. They prioritized INTEL chipset development, according to their rep, and left AMD chipset development stall completely. Oh well, I guess.

b2l, I think I know what the misunderstanding is about. In Q1, Nvidia had 55% of the K8 chipset market, that´s down to 35% in Q2. The K8 chipset market however accounted for less than 50% of the whole AMD chipset market in Q1. Beware of third party reports.

OT - I downloaded Google Earth last night and was playing with it...pretty cool. You can type in your home address of maybe an Intel facility address and get a real close satelite mapping with scrolling capability.

Anyone know a address for AMD's Fab 36, or at least given Dresden can give me a landmark like a lake, major road, mountain nearby. Some reason the pics at Dresden stink compared to say chandler az.

you can actually do something like search richmond , va. then local search infineon and it will map to that site. So only city and country need to be known...pretty cool
