Mike,

I am currently reading Isaacson's book on Steve Jobs.

Yes - it is a miracle that Apple survived the early start-up stages. Job's proclivities and explosive black and white personality was not an asset - IMHO.

Enough positives, and right decisions did push aside the mistakes, and the rest is history. I think that will be the case here also.

Was BORK mentioned in the speech?

I do not think so. The wording just didn't seem to suggest that. He was touting research spending in that section and not BORK. If he was talking about BORK I think it would have been in a part of the speech talking up small businesses creating innovation and jobs.

That being said IF (and a huge IF) it possibly could have been aimed at BORK's product then I am not surprised the name not being mentioned after the solar company fiasco that he backed publicly. I am sure a company will get the 4th degree in the future before the White House backs it publicly again.

In the end...the great part is that BORK may already have the tech that he mentioned. If they do then I can not imagine that it wont create excitment in the marketplace.
