Why not tune the magic catalyst to produce #2 oil?

It's lighter, so you get more gallons per ton of feedstock, right?

Demand for #2 oil has to be pretty high in the northeast, as quite a few homes are heated by that product.

Why make #6 fuel for Coco and Indigo? Is Coco doing much asphalt paving these days?

You are right it is only New York CITY not state that is banning regular dirty #6 fuel oil.

we know P2O is ultra low sulfur but what about the other toxins that were listed in the NYC announcements?

having near 0 sulfur is useless if we have the same amount of them?

So far the only place that seems to be restricting the use of #6 fuel oil is New Yrok City, and that doesn't happen until 2015.

Those same regulations allow the use of #6 that produces the equivalent low emissions of #2 fuel oil.

There is plenty of reason to think that JBI's #6 fuel will meet that requirement.
