Let's be fair to Dr Lewis! The press is notorious for seizing on an "interest factor" with lots of interest grabbing potential whether it is really pertinent to the issue at hand or not.
I suspect that anyone who's had to deal with the press on a number of occasions will realize that it is the press that is pushing the goats so hard and not Dr. Lewis. You can give a half hour interview with the press and cover all the important points many times over and discover when the article comes out that most of the most important points got left out and a few side issues that the reporter asked a few curiosity questions about were instead the main emphasis.
IMHO this is not dr. Lewis, but the press. Note that we you see a 3 minute video clip that was probably snippets chosen by the reporter and NOT the interviewee out of a much longer interview.
Dr. Lewis had no control over how the articles were written up. And the press is what it is. And we all know what it is.
Really? Wouldn't a PC at Notre Dame fit into that category? After a year of accomplishments in the lab, building on the science of the peer review just released and the interest shown by the media, the fact KBLB DID NOT take advantage of that free publicity wasn't lost on the market.
