Yes it is not really caloric restriction it is the restriction of certain amino acids...Also very important is the discovery that certain drugs..eg Halofuganone can and do mimic the AA starvation reaction..and therefore may hold the key to controlling infamation and auto-immune diseases...There will be a big article on this in Nature in March.
