I have a friend who works for a mega law firm involved in a lot of these transactions. In the final days, weeks of these transactions, he literally gets nap time sleep. There is no, going home and getting a few hours.
IB’s earn their keep in hostile deals; however, in friendly deals like this one, they don’t add much value, as far as I can tell. The fairness opinions they furnish are a joke; they could be penned by a bright student in junior high school.
